When you say that you are going to do something, you do it. If circumstances conspire to prevent you, you will move heaven and earth. There may be times when it is simply impossible but you don't ever give up without a fight. All of which is deeply laudable. But one slight side-effect of being born blessed with such determination is that, once in a while, you will find yourself striving to accomplish something that isn't actually so important. Don't waste precious determination on an irrelevant objectives.
Do you now want to add fuel to a fire or to somehow bring a flame back under close control? Your choice is really that simple and straightforward. You can respond and react to an antagonistic gesture and find plenty of reasons to justify the continuation of conflict or the extension of tension. Or, you can simply decide to be brave and big. You can resolve to see a picture from a broader, wiser, perspective and make allowances based on sympathy, empathy and compassion. That's got to be the better choice.
