There is no need to wait for anything or anyone. What you are waiting for is waiting for you. There is no need to ask for anything or to persuade anyone of anything.
What you require is on offer. What you hope to communicate is already understood, and appreciated too. If you sense tension, it may be because you are looking at a situation with suspicious eyes when you ought to be more trusting - or because you are remembering a difficult past when you should be envisaging a delightful future.
Don't wait for that; create it.
'You should never trouble trouble, till trouble troubles you.' Surely, though, it makes sense to be on the look out for trouble. That way you can see it coming earlier and get out of its way more effectively. Or can you? Trouble, it sometimes seems, has an inbuilt sensor. It detects people who are looking out for it and thus, it is immediately more attracted towards them. You may be better off not looking for trouble,  at least. That's the best way to help send it in another direction entirely.
