But I think it would be inappropriate because now that she is married, you are “the family” for her. Believe me; I don’t have a problem with that. Some people are good at talking but not so good at listening. Even when they fall silent and one might imagine that they are heeding someone else's words, they may simply be taking the interruption as an opportunity to consider the phrasing of the point they want to make next!
The higher you climb, the further you can fall.' There may be some truth in this but it is hardly the advice that is likely to encourage aspiring mountaineers. Yet some version of this idea echoes around in the back of even the most ambitious mind. Success is not just something to be desired and dreamed of. It is something to be feared - for, with each step closer towards the attainment of a cherished goal, comes the possibility of a disappointment. 
when we set out to follow a dream, we always find a reward of some kind, even if it doesn't quite take the form that we originally imagined it might.
