We are often advised to avoid letting the grass grow under our feet. It is hard, though, to see how we can achieve this, short of coating our shoes in pesticide. Grass grows. That is its nature. We walk on grass. That is our nature. When we spend time in a field or, indeed, anywhere in the great outdoors, we get closer to nature and, in doing so, closer to our own true nature. Let some grass grow under your feet in your emotional and personal life now. Take your time. Show some patience. Little is as urgent as it seems.
