Many ornamental gardens contain a maze where people are invited to find their way through narrow passageways formed from high hedges. Some of these structures are overlooked by tall buildings from which observers can see the visitors becoming ever more lost. Yet how can they be lost when they are so close to the place that they are trying to reach? Because they don't know how close they are! So they feel as if they must be miles away. Don't let a confusing phenomenon destroy your faith in recent progress.
