Often, people berate themselves for failing to complete a task. Or to fulfil a promise that they made in good faith, although the moment to come good on it never somehow seemed to arise. They say 'I kept on meaning to.' Or 'I don't know what was wrong with me.' Rarely do you hear them say, 'Actually, I didn't do it because I didn't really want to and I couldn't be bothered.' Anyway, there is a reason why something that probably shouldn't have happened, hasn't happened.
