Some people believe that the longer you have to wait for something, the more you appreciate it when you get it. Others say, 'Never put off till tomorrow, what you can do today.' It isn't really fair to put these two philosophies up against each other as if they were in direct competition. They are potentially complementary. Surely, we should be swift to seize whatever is attainable, yet philosophical enough to accept that if a delay is unavoidable, this may prove beneficial You can't be so sure of your own powers of prognosis. Nor should you rely on the predictive utterances of others. Whether or not you are talking to people with crystal balls or just folk who reckon to know something about what's in store, or whether you are just paying heed to a suspicion within yourself, you risk becoming blind to the possibility of a pleasant surprise. But such a thing is possible!
