THOUGHTS
Usually, we do what we have been taught to do - or what we have discovered, through trial and error, that we need to do. We rely on our experience and we trust our memories. Yet in the process, we deprive ourselves of the chance to make new discoveries. We think, 'I had better not experiment.' We prefer to stick with what we know to be safe. Yet then where is our inventiveness? How does any of that produce progress and innovation?
If something appears to be efficient, why would anyone ever question it? We don't need to know how many sacrifices a person has made to get themselves to work on time. As long as we know they are clocking in and out as expected, we assume that all is well - even if their daily journey is nightmarish. Unless, that is, they speak up. Where are you now hearing complaints? Before you give them too much attention, consider the possibility that more attention should be given to someone who is suffering in silence
As a nation, even a race, we have hopefully evolved beyond the point where we find it acceptable to let children grow up in fear. We don't want them to feel threatened. We want them to be encouraged. Individually, we are no longer frightened of bogeymen. But collectively, we have not yet become immune to the shadows cast by such figures. You can now see how many of your companions are making choices based on a sense of intimidation, rather than inspiration. Set a better example. Go beyond fear : TO WIN THE GAME OF LIFE.
