Great cinematic spectacles have the music added afterwards, which may explain why you are not hearing any violins in the distance right now. In the absence of such accompaniment, you are having to create your own soundtrack by imagining the contribution to the atmosphere that such orchestration might make. Might you be adding more poignancy and drama than necessary?
